UNCLE CARLS STORY | ![]() |
| Uncle Carls Story Uncle Carl is Ann's uncle from Virginia. We had our national rally in West Virginia last year and while we were there Ann went to visit him in the rest home. He decided that he wanted to move to oklahoma so he would be closer to family. Well as it were, Ann works at a rest home here in Guthrie so we transfered him here. He has been here almost a year. On the weekend of April 16-18 we had SFC Campmeeting. Uncle Carl was at every service and come out of his wheelchair and danced before the Lord at every service. Then came the sunday night service. We were winding things down and most of the ministry team had left to go back to Borger Tx. David O'neal was giving his testimony and I noticed Uncle Carl was crying.David gave the alter call and the co-pastors little girl came up for prayer. We were standing there preparing to pray for her when I saw something that blessed my heart. Uncle Carl who can't speak very well was looking right at me crying like a baby. I went over to him and he said "I don't want to live like this any more, I want to live for Jesus. So I was honored with leading him in a prayer to accept Jesus as his savior. PRAISE THE LORD! After that Mike and I prayed against the demon alcohol and Carls head flew back and my hand was literally knocked off his head as the demon left his body. Then after that we were outside and he told me that he had been bound up with alcohol since the age of ten. He is 64 now. He said,"I drank a half gallon of whisky and then drank a fifth on top of that every day. But I don't drink any more. He said he felt it leave and he don't aim for it to come back. Then he said I don't need this wheelchair anymore either. Then he got up and started helping clean up the church. So now he is becoming one of the faithful believers that attends Soldiers For Christ Fellowship. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives. |
